Best Electric Skateboard for Kids (2021)1 month ago | 1 Replies
Electric skateboard is developing rapidly all over the world. In the age of technology, it’s always a good thing to find new creative ways to get the younger generation off the screen and into nature! An electric board is a great way to get out, get some exercise and venture into the new part of town! I discovered a lot of great places in the community and surrounding area on the electric skateboard and had a lot of fun with friends! This is an easy to access hobby, and if you are looking for the right board, then this won’t break your money. So, let’s get started!
The Backfire G2 Black 2020 May be one of the most cost-effective electric boards available. This is an updated version of Backfire’s successful G2 board. The company has updated various specs to make the board more competitive and attractive, especially compared to the Meepo V3 (one of the best-selling scooters). They slightly increased the size of the boards. Customers have been hoping for some time. They also updated the HobbyWing ESC (electronic governor) and its remote control, which now has an LCD screen. In addition, the Backfire is better able to seal the battery and ESC casing, making it more water-resistant. All of these changes are minor, but overall, these details add up to a much better Eskate experience. I strongly encourage you to check out our review of the Backfire G2 Black 2020 version. This is one of the best, deepest reviews we’ve ever had!
But the biggest upgrade has to be its battery. Backfire made it bigger and now it’s a 180 Wh battery instead of a 144 Wh battery. Backfire claims that this battery will give you a range of 11 miles / 18 kilometers. And, based on my experience and reviews, I have to say that this advertising range will be very close to the real and true range. Thank you Backfire is now exaggerated.
Another advantage Backfire has is that they own U.S. warehouses. Therefore, the transportation time can be as short as a few days. This is so fast compared to Meepo and Exway. This is likely to be a major factor in the purchase decision.
Meepo V3 — excellent standby budget board
This is one of the best-selling electronic whiteboards on the market today. If you are looking for a young motherboard, the $379 motherboard should be your first choice. Prominent on the board is the ability to change the driving and braking modes respectively. Unlike other boards, where the brakes change with riding patterns, you can change these variables separately on the V3. With a top speed of 29 MPH, the board really offers crazy speed for the price. The price range on the board, and many other price ranges in that price range, is around 10 miles. This can be fun for beginners. This may not be enough for more advanced people who wish to commute or venture on the board
Meepo was founded in 2017, so they are a fairly new company. Customer service reviews are mixed in all respects, but we do have to take into account the current global epidemic, which puts high demands on planks and long wait times. Due to its reliability, comfort and ease of use, the board is ideal for use by children. Be sure to check out our Meepo V3 review.
Recommended child and adolescent safety equipment
I recommend the Triple 8 Dual Certification helmet because it has many safety certifications. In fact, the helmet has been certified not only twice, as the name suggests, but actually four times. A reasonable and fair price provides such security. In addition, you can purchase a helmet with MIPS technology. MIPS has a non-frictional layer, which absorbs a lot of rotational force in the event of a fall or impact, reducing the chance of injury. So it’s no surprise that the helmet has become one of the most popular among Eskaters. For more information, check out my comprehensive guide to electric skateboard helmets.
No one likes a scraping hand. Unfortunately, a fall on asphalt is almost inevitable. Therefore, it is recommended not to wear proper hand protective equipment. Flatland 3D is a small company based in the US that offers excellent gloves for gliding. In fact, they are designed for electric skateboarders. While providing plenty of protection, it also provides enough flexibility to comfortably hold the remote control. Flatland 3D Pro gloves feature a built-in Special Protection System (SPS) that protects your hands and wrists by adding two sliders to the palm of the glove. This converts most of the impact energy into a controlled slider. If you want to learn more about Eskate’s glove and wristband options, check out this blog post.
Let’s think about falling. You might fall on your hands and then onto your knees. Therefore, proper knee protection can save us a lot of pain. For the past ten years, 187 Killer Pads has been producing sports insoles for professional skaters. 187 Killer Pads were created by a longtime skater in a family store and have since become a popular choice for skaters and skaters around the world. Check out my article on Eskate pads for more information.
A down hoodie
For added safety, Hoddie made of Kevlar and integrated shoulder, elbow and back pads would be a good idea. Lazyrolling Armored Hoodie was Epsaiclley for skaters. In addition to safety features, phones, keys and anything else come with a waterproof bag and a special zipper that creates an air flow system for regulating temperature. Safety tips for children and teens with electric skateboards
Wear protective gear
Above all, the sport is dangerous. Concrete is not a forgiving surface. The bone is broken. A rash breaks out. Wearing proper protective gear can greatly reduce the risk of injury and save my skin many times over. If you’re buying a board for a young person, make sure you buy a helmet and a full set of protective pads.
Teach them how to ride before putting them on the road
I learned to drive my first car in an empty parking lot. Electric skateboards should do the same thing. Parking lots, empty parks, any place where there are no cars or people should be a place where everyone learns to ride a bike. Although these boards are toys, they can be dangerous and it’s important to ride within restricted limits and not go beyond your comfort zone.
Teach them the rules of the road
Similarly to driving, it is important to understand the rules of the road. Keep traffic flowing at all times, ensure your visibility and use bike lanes where possible. Due to my densely populated state and the drivers of Roure, I try to avoid all major roads if possible.
Avoid the rain and snow
If it rains or snows in the near future, I will never ride a snowboard. There are too many risks when it comes to electronics and water. Some board manufacturers will claim that the boards are waterproof, but I wouldn’t risk testing the limit. This sport is good for dry, sunny weather, so it’s much more fun to get out and enjoy nature!
I love this sport and try to share it with others as much as possible. Young, old, it doesn’t matter. That’s the beauty of this sport, anyone can enjoy it! In this day and age, technology is consuming too much of our youth. It’s important to show them that you can have fun outdoors, get active and stay healthy, and keep yourself hooked at the same time! If you are considering buying a piece of wood for young people, please do your research, educate them, and most importantly have fun!
What makes an electric skateboard kids-friendly?
Good reputation and security
There are many electric board companies on the market today. You won’t choose a reputable and responsive customer service company. Today, most companies have done years of research and development, and it’s getting easier and easier to find a company with a better reputation. Most of the wood boards that are popular today are made in China, but some are made in the United States.

Soft acceleration curve
For starters, an ESC with electronic speed control or a gentle acceleration curve is important. If you are not used to electric boards and how they operate, the throttle can shake very fast, which may take you off the board. Most boards will have different modes, and anyone new to them should always start in “green” or “safe” mode until they get used to the board and how it responds to the accelerator.
With the progress of technology, the brake of electric skateboard is getting better and better. Most boards will use a single wheel for acceleration, and when you pull the wheel back, the board will brake. Most low-priced scooters will use hub-driven motors, which will do slightly less damage than belt-driven motors. However, the hub-driven skateboard still has amazing braking capability, and as you become an experienced rider, you will be in tune with the way the skateboard and the braking system work. Every time I get on an electric board, I’m impressed with the ability to brake and stop the board.
You don’t have to be fast
People always care about the top speed of the electric board. Most high-end motherboards allow you to drive up to 30 miles per hour. This is not necessary for new skaters. When you buy an electric skateboard for your child, you don’t have to worry about top speed if the skateboard can go 12 to 15 miles per hour. That’s enough speed for a new skateboarder to ride amazingly and feel safe. As a rule of thumb, you never really want to travel faster than running on an electric skateboard. That way, if you’re going to fall, you’re likely to fall, not hit the asphalt.
Light and portable
Larger plates can become very heavy. Being a 190lb rider and in good physical condition, I would have to carry the Evolve Bamboo GTR for miles if anything happened. When choosing a plank for a young person, I definitely recommend you check the weight and size. Another feature that some motherboards do offer is a joypad. If the board has a handle, it’s much easier to carry if something happens when you need to hold the board and move around.
What is the purpose of the board?
Some general purposes to consider when buying planks for children: Will they commute, ride horses just for fun, or cross-country riding, create patterns? If you are considering commuting with the board, then this scope will be one of your top priorities. If the board is just riding for leisure, then you probably don’t need to worry about many specs. If you want to be able to take boards off-road, then you need to look at what types of trucks and wheels the boards offer.
Now we all know that children will not take the best care of all their possessions, it is just common sense 🙂 There are several wooden boards that can be bought for less than $300. I’ll probably buy new electronic skateboarders from here and consider upgrading from there once they enjoy the sport and take care of the board. Cheaper boards will also be made from lower-quality parts and may not last long.
Battery size (range)
This will be a feature that greatly and quickly increases the price of the circuit board. Some boards even have the option to extend the range, with the manufacturer offering a larger battery. Larger batteries always increase the price and range of a board. Most inexpensive skateboards give you a range of about 10 miles, which can be hours of fun for a beginner!
It’s important to find a company that has good customer service. Check out some reviews and pay attention to warranties and how people talk about the brand. YouTube is a great tool to explore how companies treat their customers.
