Best Electric Skateboards for Adults1 month, 1 week ago | 0 Replies
With all the things going on in the world today, each of us needs hobbies to maintain our mental health and get outdoors to get some vitamin D (sunshine!). And exercise. I’m always looking for new ways to do this. Whether I’m biking, surfing, water skiing, or the newest member of the family… Electric skateboard, I like outdoor sports, but also to exercise. If you’re looking for a new and fun way to impress the never-ending tide, you won’t find it!
When you look at price and performance, the Backfire Zealout shines brighter than its competitors. It is a powerful board with an excellent range and a variety of different modes to suit anyone’s needs. A belt drive system can accomplish this task, while the other plates are driven by hub motors.
Hub motors are essentially skateboard wheels or motors inside sleeves to provide a sleek, efficient and powerful ride. The belt-driven motor will provide you with above-average torque and may give you a faster top speed depending on the setting and rider’s weight. The belt drive system connects the motor gears to the wheels by means of rubber belts. Belt drive plates are continuing to be popular as they become more accessible and affordable. You can get the Backfire Zealot for $699 in places where you might have to pay big bucks before.
The great thing is that new riders can fit in so easily. There is an eco-friendly mode that is best suited to beginners because it offers smoother acceleration and braking at a lower top speed. If you feel comfortable moving it up one gear, jump to the chessboard motion mode. The skateboard also has a turbocharged mode with a top speed of 30mph, but beginner beware. Backfire, a skateboard company founded in 2013, has a longer history than most brands. They have good reviews of both their products and their client servers. If you can meet this requirement on a budget, then this is a great learning platform to pick up the pace as you grow.
Meepo Mini 2 – Best Shortboard
Compared to its size, the board packs a striking fist. This is a “short board” that has a kick tail feel and a more stiff feel than the traditional long board. The skateboard is 30 inches long, 8 inches shorter than the V3. The kick tail allows you to lift the back of the board off the ground, making handling in small Spaces easier. You can choose to operate this board manually using the kickboard.
Meepo offers two battery options for the board, just as they do with other models. With the standard version, you should be able to see a range of about 11 miles, but with the extended version, you might find yourself with 18 miles. The board is stylish and low-key. Small, light, and quiet motors allow you to blend into your daily commute.
Like the V3, the price of this board is very attractive for newer sliders. The scooter offers a one-way ticket to the game for less than $400, including excellent customer service and a six-month warranty. Because of its small size, light weight and reasonable price, the board is an ideal choice for adults.
The Verreal RS board features two 1500W belt-driven motors, hobby electric tuning as well as remote, different battery and wheel options. You can choose from four batteries in a range of 432 Wh to 691 Wh. Therefore, the range ranges from 22 to 35 miles. Verreal claims a top speed of 27 MPH. At this price point, you get a two-pin truck that offers a better turning radius and handles boards compared to a single-pin truck. The deck is made of maple and bamboo, but the battery cases are made of aluminum, which doesn’t make them very flexible at all.
The board comes with 90mm wheels, so you might be a little stiff considering the deck and wheel combination. Verreal states that this is for stability and control at a higher speed. The board is available in several different configurations. You can choose from the 85mm polyurethane wheel, the 105 or 120mm cloud wheel or the 90mm Glow Glow wheel. The AT option may be used in the future. After purchasing this board, you will get a 90-day warranty.
That being said, these are price killers but it also comes with drawbacks. The brand does enjoy a mixed reputation online due to long shipping times and a short track record. Similarly, another new company (founded in 2017) has current world conditions and they may have some work to do to fulfill orders and provide customer service.
If you are willing to put up with average after-sales service and unpredictable shipping times during this pandemic, the Verreal RS will be the best choice. For more information, check out our in-depth Verreal RS review.
